Screens
Screens
FIRST STEPS
Start by arranging screens, displays and LED walls. Or import complete 3D venues into the 3D area of PIXERA.
DATABASE
PIXERA offers users a number of extensive databases featuring projection screens, projectors, lenses and LED modules. Simply choose the desired product in the database and add it to your project.
LENS CONTROL
For even more control and perfect results, the throw ratio and lens shift of existing models can be adapted to your project requirements, so that you can create a geometrically correct 3D simulation.
LED WALLS
LED walls can be generated automatically, based on the LED modules available from our integrated databases. The information displayed includes the total resolution, pixel pitch, brightness, size, weight and power consumption etc.
Modify
If you want to adapt or change imported objects or items from the database, these can all be modified at vertex level.
PARTS LIST
Export a list of the individual project parts right out of PIXERA, which includes projection screens, displays, LED modules and projectors, as well as technical data helping you to handle your daily business.
Project File Handling
With the "Project Bundling" function PIXERA packs all files of your project into a folder so that you can transfer to other computers or back them up. With Autosave you can be sure to have the past versions of your show saved just in case you need to go back.
Mapping
Mapping
THE MAPPING TAB
A place where all the realtime 3D projection mapping, warping, softedging, and output routing happens.
3D PROJECTION MAPPING
Once you have set up your 3D project space, you simply have to find a suitable place for your projectors from the database. Assign them to the media server outputs and use warping, softedging and marker calibration to adjust them perfectly.
SIMPLE WORKFLOWS
Optimized and partially automated workflows for flat and curved screens.
PROJECTION CORRECTION
Seamlessly combine spatial and warp-oriented projection correction approaches. 3D warping tools for 3D projection mapping and freeform deformation-based warping, as well as vertex based warping give you a maximum of versatility.
SOFTEDGE
Let PIXERA calculate the softedge blending or use the flexible softedge blending editor.
MARKER CALIBRATION
Map complex setups in record time with the integrated marker calibration feature. Just place a number of marker points on the virtual object and align them with its‘ real-life counterpart.
AUTOMATIC VIOSO CAMERA CALIBRATION
PIXERA has integrated the award winning VIOSO automatic calibration technology, which works by positioning cameras so that they can “see” the entire projection surface. The system now analyses different projected calibration patterns. Once the calibration is finished, the resulting total output is mapped onto the projection surface. The calibration is stored and can be recalled anytime.
VIDEO MAPPING AND ROUTING
A new set of video mapping tools allow users to reposition content pixels on the output as needed, making it possible to drive a wide variety of LED processor configurations from PIXERA.
ART-NET PIXEL PATCHING
Pixel patching tools are seamlessly integrated into the UI. They allow users to reposition content pixels on the output as needed and to patch the result to Art-Net channels.
Compositing
Compositing
THE COMPOSITING TAB
Don’t just use PIXERA to play pre-rendered files. Use PIXERA to be creative. The compositing tab is where you can arrange, edit and manipulate your content. Use additional effects for creating a stunning show.
REALTIME PLAYBACK
Both playback and timeline editing can really happen LIVE. It is even possible to edit objects and keyframes the live-locator is just about to hit – you will see the results immediately on the output.
Timelines
Arrange your content within multiple, non-linear timelines. All timelines are independent from each other and can run parallel. Not only can you edit timelines while they are playing – you can even edit individual content files as they are playing.
Multi-TIMELINES
All timelines are independent from each other and can run parallel.
LIVE PREVIEW EDITING
This powerful feature lets you edit timelines in the preview window while the output shows content from a different section of the timeline. This allows changes to running shows to be previewed by the operator and then blended into the output on the fly.
BLEND TO TIME
Click anywhere in the timeline while the show is running and perform a smooth blend to the new position. Perfect for changes on the fly during live shows!
LAYERS
Use an unlimited number of layers for a frame accurate workflow.
KEYFRAMES
Keyframe editing and curves are designed to allow for a detailed and fast editing workflow. Keyframes are available for XYZ-position, XYZ-rotation, XYZ-size, position-offset, rotation-offset and size-offset. You can also generate keyframes for using realtime effects.
PREVIEW FILES
Low-res preview files allows you to edit a great number of content files even on small computers.
CONTENT TRANSCODING
Content transcoding in PIXERA is very easy. Change resolutions, framerates and codecs with just a few clicks.
Video Export
With the video export feature, you can render and export either the complete 3D venue to impress your customer with a vision of the programmed show, or you could render the content of specific screens to reduce the number of necessary layers as part of a complex composition.
TIMECODE
With the optional PIXERA SMPTE interface, you can set up PIXERA as a master or client within your SMPTE connected project.
HIGH QUALITY TEXT
Texts in PIXERA are rendered on the GPU - extremely fast and in an unlimited resolution, no matter how large the individual letters are.
