100 Years of Zott: PIXERA Brings LED, Projection and Emotional Live Moments Together in One Visual Experience
For the anniversary show, studio : 3 realized a central PIXERA setup for precise synchronization, flexible show control and large-scale visuals.
When German dairy company Zott celebrated its 100th anniversary, the milestone called for more than a traditional corporate event. They brought together employees, partners, and VIP guests for a two-day celebration that combined emotional storytelling with large-scale visual production. The event consisted of an exclusive VIP evening and a company celebration attended by around 1,600 employees, transforming the venue into a highly immersive experience built around projection, LED content, and lighting.
The technical and creative implementation was led by studio : 3 GmbH. The team was responsible for lighting design, lighting operation and media server operation, using PIXERA as the central platform for media playback and show control. studio : 3 was commissioned by Uniplan, which oversaw the concept and overall project implementation. POOLgroup supported the production as technical service provider.
The visual setup combined multiple display technologies, including two large LED walls, four delay projection surfaces, and more than 100 meters of projection gauze driven by 20 projectors. While each output served a different purpose within the overall show design, the challenge was to make them feel like one coherent visual experience rather than a collection of individual screens and projection surfaces.
PIXERA enabled studio : 3 to manage all media outputs within a unified environment, allowing content to be synchronized and adapted across the different display systems. This centralized workflow proved particularly valuable given the scale of the production and the need for seamless coordination between visual content, lighting, and show control. The PIXERA setup consisted of two PIXERA Director systems and four PIXERA Quad Players connected via a 10 Gigabit network. PIXERA also integrated with external show systems including MA Lighting grandMA3 via sACN triggers, as well as Bitfocus Companion for show control.
One of the most memorable moments of the event was the live generation of more than 1,600 employee names using PIXERA Control. Instead of preparing a separate video file for each individual name, the content was generated directly within PIXERA and played out to the projection surfaces. This approach made it possible to react flexibly to changes right up until shortly before showtime, while significantly reducing the effort required in content preparation. Beyond its technical efficiency, this solution created a powerful emotional highlight. The employees became a visible part of the anniversary production, turning a large-scale corporate celebration into a personal and memorable experience.
For Dustin Müller, Managing Director and Media Server Operator at studio : 3 GmbH, these capabilities clearly demonstrated why PIXERA was the right choice for the project: “With PIXERA, we were able to centrally control the numerous LED and projection surfaces and operate them as one cohesive visual canvas. Especially during the live generation of more than 1,600 employee names, the system's flexibility was crucial. Changes could be implemented right up until showtime without having to recreate individual video assets.”
The Zott anniversary demonstrates how PIXERA can be used to deliver synchronized and dynamic content in demanding live event environments. Together, studio : 3, Uniplan, and POOLgroup created a production that combined technical precision with emotional impact while putting the people behind the Zott brand at the heart of the celebration
